After envisioning and dreaming about the concept for many years, we have now brought together, in the new Parkwood Financial Center, Chambersburg's first multi-disciplined financial practice, which includes legal and tax accounting professionals who have expertise in those aspects of financial planning, in addition to my own investment knowledge and experience. Our clients now have access either to help with individual elements of their financial and estate matters, or to a collective resource that offers a holistic approach to financial planning and management.

The synergy achieved by this approach helps us strive for the best results for the client, who no longer has to be responsible for relating the recommendations of one service professional with those of another, and then another. This approach saves the client time and trouble, and reduces the likelihood of mistakes or inconsistencies.

At the Parkwood Financial Center, we specialize in working with pre-retirees and retirees to create, implement, and maintain a complete retirement plan and portfolio. Our financial arm is Twigg Financial, Inc., which is described in some detail  here. Legal services are provided by the law firm of Gates, Halbruner and Hatch, P.C., whose competent professionals include Certified Elder Law Attorneys. This firm specializes in the legal component of tax and estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, living trusts and durable powers of attorney, along with long-term care issues, probate, and charitable giving. We also have the services of a Certified Public Accountant, Donald Nelson McClure, who is able to discuss tax questions and assist clients with filing tax returns.

We believe this Financial Center approach is a more effective alternative to delivering services to clients, and is the first of its kind in Chambersburg. We are extremely excited about being able to implement it here.
